Decklingo

Privacy Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

Decklingo is a Google Slides add-on that translates the text of a presentation. This policy explains what data the add-on uses, why, and for how long. Decklingo is operated by Gabriel Barreto, sole trader, Portugal ("we"). Contact: gabrielbarretopt5@gmail.com.

1. Data we access from your Google account

The add-on asks for these Google permissions, and uses them only as described:

2. What we store

We do not store the original text of your slides, and we do not keep copies of your presentations.

3. Who processes the text

To translate, the text of each slide is sent over an encrypted connection to our server and then to an AI translation provider: Groq (GroqCloud API) or, as a backup, Anthropic (Claude API). These providers process the text only to return the translation and do not use it to train their models, under their API terms for business customers. Payments, if you subscribe, are handled by our payment provider, which receives your email and payment details; we never see your card number.

We do not sell your data, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not use your slides to train AI models.

4. Google API Services User Data Policy

Decklingo's use and transfer of information received from Google APIs adheres to the Google API Services User Data Policy, including the Limited Use requirements.

5. How long we keep data

6. Your rights

You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, or to export it, by writing to gabrielbarretopt5@gmail.com. We answer within 30 days. You can remove the add-on's access at any time in your Google account under Security → Third-party apps. If you are in the European Union you can also complain to your data protection authority (in Portugal, the CNPD).

7. Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date above and, for important changes, tell you inside the add-on.
